Hi!

I noticed that Xubuntu isn't "represented" officially on Diaspora. I'm
new to Diaspora myself, but long enough to see that my beloved Xubuntu
is tagged only by users and/or critics. I'm not sure how to create a
"fan page" on Diaspora or even if there is such a thing, but I'm more
than willing to arrange it if it can be done, and to seek "official"
endorsement/status on this federated, open-source social network.

Thanks!

Hmm. I run the torbay tech jam and just set up a new dedicated account
on diaspora for that, as there is a word press plug in that will post
any blog posts to diaspora.

feel free to add me ***@joindiaspora.com and we can perhaps work
together even if it is simply sharing or re-sharing posts.

If you also add ***@joindiaspora.com then both accounts can
share content.

I think this could be the closest we will get to fan pages, but it
could be a start.

I'm not really familiar with Diaspora, but you're welcome to follow
this path. Since our team handling the official social media is very
small[0] we haven't actively sought to create more social media
accounts/pages ourselves.

Please let us know once it's up and running so we can have a look :)
To adopt one of these outlets as an official one we like to see a good
chuck of activity with trustworthy admins, and eventually have someone
from the marketing team added so we have some control over it in case
the original admin disappears (which has happened before!).
