ARM processor computers are the future and Martin Wimpress has an excellent
version of Mate for the Raspberry Pi, details at
https://ubuntu-mate.org/raspberry-pi/ . We add the XFCE desktop to Mate on
the Pi which works very well but would rather have Xubuntu. We are waiting
for the Pine64 to arrive and will do the same there. Why not start Xubuntu
development for ARM processor computers? Linus Torvalds says 2016 will be
the year of the ARM laptop, see

. Thanks

Hello Joel,

this has been discussed by the Xubuntu team, and at least at this point
there is not enough manpower to support even more platforms for Xubuntu.
Unless enough interest and contributors with ARM platform show up, the
situation is unlikely to change.

Cheers,
Pasi
